Lionsgate and Marvel reach agreement with WGA

Film and television studio Lionsgate announced on Thursday that they reached an interim agreement with the Writers Guild of America (WGA). Good news for both parties involved, now striking Hollywood writers are enabled to work on Liongate’s projects.

WGA going to picket Leno, O’Brien and Kimmel

The Writers Guild of America (WGA) is getting hardcore! Later tonight (Wednesday) they are going to picket outside the studios “The Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno,” “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” television shows are taped .

Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert return to the air!

Two more late night show hosts are returning to the screen! Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have joined Conan O’Brian, Jay Leno and Jimmyt Kimmel. They all announced their return next month, though without writers.

Doritos announces top10 unsigned acts

The Doritos brand (you know, those supertasy cornchips, mmm) made an announcement today. They have figured out the last 10 semi-finalists for the Doritos “Crash The Super Bowl” challenge.

NY Philharmonic to perform in North Korea

It was announced Monday that the New York Philharmonic Orchestra has accepted North Korea’s invitation to perform
there on February 26th. North Korea’s Ministry of Culture sent the orchestra an invitation in August. This can be seen as a cultural breakthrough as tense relations between the United States and the reclusive Communist nation ease.

Prince bitchslaps fans!

Three major fansites dedicated to Prince (Housequake, Princefams and Prince.org) have been served legal notice to remove all images of the singer, his lyrics and “anything linked to Prince’s likeness.”
Only two months after Prince (49 years old) threatened to sue Youtube amongst other sites, he now demands the removal of fans’ photographs of Prince-inspired tattoos [...]
